The free version of Safety Instinct collects nothing at all — no account, no tracking, no personal data. If you purchase the full game, we collect only what is strictly necessary to process your payment, issue a receipt, and keep your game save available across devices.
The free version of Safety Instinct does not require an account. We do not collect your name, email address, or any personal information. Your game progress is stored locally on your device and never sent to our servers.
If you choose to purchase the full game, we collect the minimum information required to complete the transaction and issue a receipt: your name, email address, and billing details. This data is used only for that purpose — never for marketing or profiling.
Payments are processed by a third-party provider (Stripe) — we never see or store your full card details
Your email is used to send a receipt and, if needed, to handle purchase-related support
Billing records are retained for up to 7 years to meet legal accounting and invoice requirements
Your purchase data is never sold or shared with third parties for advertising
The free version uses only your browser's local storage to save your game progress — which episode you've reached, your choices, and your stats. This data never leaves your device.
The full game (paid) uses one first-party session cookie to keep you signed in and sync your game save across devices. It contains only a secure session identifier — no personal data is stored inside it — and expires when you sign out. The payment flow may also use cookies set by Stripe, governed by their own privacy policy.
We use Simple Analytics, a privacy-friendly analytics service that does not use cookies or fingerprinting and does not collect personal data. It only tells us aggregate information like how many people visit the site — nothing that identifies you.
We do not sell, share, or transfer any data to third parties for advertising or tracking purposes. The third-party services we use are Simple Analytics (aggregate visit counts) and Stripe (payment processing for purchases only). Both are bound by their own privacy policies and applicable data protection law.
Free version users: since we don't collect personal data, there is nothing to request, correct, or delete. To clear your game data, simply clear your browser's local storage for this site.
